Progress in the Management of Water in a Neighbouring Village of Ouagadougou -Basséko -in Burkina Faso, Four Years Later. Sucessive investigations conducted in the village of Basseko, Burkina Faso, have made it possible to understand better the progress accomplished in the management of water use. The drop in precipitation generating an early exhaustion of traditional water holes, has drawn the villagers to use perennial water supply sources. In 2000, moreover, four new holes were drilled in Bassséko. The increasing use of modern water sites as the only desirable source of supply enables the villagers to obtain water of a better quality.
