Over the years, as the oil palm plantation grows bigger, more labourers are required to handle all the work. Over time, labor cost has increased so much that most operations in the field has to be mechanized. Mechanization is commonly recognized as a means of solving increasingly acute shortage of labor in the plantation sector.
