PhD ThesisDEM30355/A 1 is a novel bioactive natural product polyketide isolated from an Amycolatopsis bacteria. 1 shows antibacterial activity against several pathogenic Gram positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
