In this article the relationship between the distribution of values among the citizens of European countries, and the institutional arrangements of the social protection schemes of these countries is analysed, as conceptualised by the most common typologies of Welfare Regimes. After analysing the distribution of values in Europe, and measuring their impact on attitudes towards welfare across different Welfare Regimes, it was observed that those values are not distributed following the boundaries of the basic typology of these Regimes.
