BACKGROUND HIV infection can manifest in a variety of ways in and around the eyes and these manifestations vary according to HIV disease severity. The ophthalmologist has an important role in the diagnosis and management of ocular complications of HIV. The eye is the most common organ affected due to HIV. Ocular involvement in HIV is about 50-70%. Ocular lesions are varied and affect almost all structures of the eye.
