EIGHT PRINCIPLES OF DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT-TRANSFER HUBS (AT THE EXAMPLE OF STATION IRKUTSK-SORTIROVOCHNII)

Purpose. This article is dedicated to the problem of development of transport-transfer hubs and also to the transport problem and the question of decentralization of cities. The object of studies was chosen diploma project on the topic «Reconstruction of transport-transfer hub of Irkutsk-Sortirovochnii». The main aim of this project was to create on the basis of the existing station a modern station complex together with the social centre which will serve mainly Leninskii district of the city. Methods. In this work we used methods of space analyses both as at town-planning level and at the level of volume-planning solution, and we also used method of computer modelling. Results and their discussions. As object of investigation we chose station Irkutsk-Sortorovochnii. We considered principal schemes of organization of transport-transfer hub and gave schemes of volume-planning solution. We made town-planning proof of creation on the basis of this station of transport-transfer hub. We considered the system of transporttransfer center of Irkutsk-Sortirovochnii according to the offered principles of development of transporttransfer hubs. Conclusions. Modernization of transport-transfer hubs leads to the creation of a comfort area to perform transfer among different types of transport and different types of activity inside these city arrangements. Investigation showed that these town-planning city arrangements have perspectives to become the focuses of city activity and cause the development of polycentric model of a city what is topical for the citied with divided structure, such as Irkutsk. As a result, we offered principles of organization of volume-planning solution of transport-transfer hubs, according to which these hubs can be transformed into transport-social center
