Diversity and distribution of entomopathogenic nematodes in the families Steinernematidae and Heterorhabditidae were investigated throughout the surveys conducted in Düzce, Bolu, Karabuk and Zonguldak provinces in the Western Black Sea Region of Turkey between 2013 and 2015. Of the 183 soil samples collected, 6 % were positive for entomopathogenic nematodes. According to molecular analyses of the six isolates, the species were identified as Steinernema carpocapsae, S. feltiae, S. weiseri. The rest of the isolates which could not be identified with molecular identification methods were characterized as morphologically, and three of them were classified as belonging to Steinernema while two classified as Heterorhabditis.
