PERBANDINGAN LIMBAH DAN LUMPUR AKTIF TERHADAP PENGARUH SISTEM AERASI PADA PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CPO

Liquid waste crude palm oil derived from strilizer unit, clarification unit and exiles from hydrocyclone. Liquid waste from crude palm oil industry such as34.20% extract without N (chemical composition) and 13.19% Glutamit acid (amino acid composition) might potentially contaminate ground water and water bodies. This study aimed to determine the effect of aeration system on CPO and waste activated sludge in the aeration basin in order to get the concentration decreased BOD5, COD and pH of the effluent and determine variations in the ratio between the CPO waste activated sludge to optimize the concentration impairment BOD5, COD and effluent pH.In this study, liquid waste and sludge CPO inserted into the bioreactor with a volume ratio variation. Then each aerated bioreactors using aerators and aeration systems was observed to decrease in value of BOD5, COD, and pH by using activated sludge. Analysis results obtained optimum value occurs in bioreactor C(8:2) v/v CPO where the comparison between the waste activated sludge with the addition of a little more, BOD5 value of 22.4 mg/L from baseline 25.6 mg/L, COD 42,5953 mg/L of initial sample value 65.77 mg/Las well as the value of MLS Sand MLVSS increased in Bioreactor C of 52 690 mg/L to 71060 mg/L
