Introduction: Infectious diseases are common during pregnancy and can be transmitted from mother to fetus. Objective: The present study investigated socio-economic and demographic factors associated with cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis and rubella, in pregnant women in the reference hospital for high-risk pregnancy, Candida Vargas Institute, located in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba. Method: A descriptive observational study was conducted, using cross-sectional design, by the application of questionnaires and evaluation of the tests, from August to November 2015.
