In this article it is conceived the statement of a problem as the action of suggesting to scholars this type of mathematical exercise. There should be an appropriate balance between the statement of a problem in oral and written form to primary school students. Among the different ways there are to diversify the presentation of a problem, there is the use of semantic structures which can assume this type of exercises. It can be also stated in prose, verse, and riddle form, or tongue twister, as well as based on graphics, among other different ways
