LOS ESTUDIOS DE POSTGRADO EN LA UNIVERSIDAD POR VENIR: PERSPECTIVAS DESDE LA TRANSVERSALIDAD | GRADUATE STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY TO COME: PERSPECTIVES FROM TRANSVERSALITY

Universities play a key role in the formation of citizens who contribute to solve the problems of society. However, these institutions must be under continuous review and transformation to ensure their relevance and viability. That is why, the university to come shall be directed to rebuilding the social fabric from everyday life, subjectivity and diversity at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In the case of postgraduate studies, they are more complex commitments to be assumed, as this level is considered the quintessential field where teachers will be formed, among others, in the integral formation of students. Therefore, it is necessary to reflect on postgraduate studies because they remain wedded to the traditional model of university discipline. That is why, the objective of this research was to propose axes of training that, supported by transversality, allow to conceive graduate studies in the university to come. To develop this goal, the research work was oriented from hermeneutics that, as a critic and reflexive exercise, allowed to address categories such as teacher training, knowledge and mainstreaming; contributing to the formulation of training areas: social relevance, socio-critical-reflexive training and research. It was concluded, therefore, that the transversality offers the possibility of overcoming the design of a discipline by addressing issues and problems necessary in the training process of every teacher to be aware of the construction of a critical-reflective thinking
