The prevalence of cases of head lice in children from an early education center in Ciudad Bolivar, Bolivar State, Venezuela is presented. Some comments and discussions on the prevalence found and the importance of the disease among the affected children are also made, highlighting the shortage of clinical and epidemiological works in the region
