This paper highlights the production capacity of different plum varieties grown in central Oltenia. The research was conducted in 2010-2012, within a plum orchard which was established in 1999, within Banu Mărăcine Didactic Station. The biological material used in this paper is represented by the varieties Diana, Tuleu gras, Renclod Althan, Alina and Anna Späth, grafted on 3 rootstocks - Otesani 8 Pixy and Miroval, thus resulting 15 different grafts/rootstocks bio-systems. It was noticed that the average fruit yield differs a lot not only between varieties but also within the same variety, depending on the rootstock that has been used
