Perspectiva do Turismo Rural como Alternativa de Renda para Agricultura Familiar: Análise de Trabalhos Científicos

The paper aims to survey and analyze studies related to rural tourism as an alternative income for family farmers. In recent decades many farmers have diversified their activities to rural tourism reconciling these economic activities with the other of its properties. The number of farms that are incorporating tourist activities in their routines is relevant. We analyzed twenty scientific papers and six theses and dissertations published between 2007 and 2015. The methodology was conceived as a literature search. To achieve the goal, the data were collected and analyzed from the following: Research the websites of journals; classification of topics and data analysis. The studies conclude that tourism in rural areas cannot be regarded as an activity miraculous nonfarm, but as an alternative or an income supplement, and provide quality of life for these families
