The authors base their efforts on the assumption that future cities will only be called “advancedi and “sustainable” if they evolve as a shared vision between the city users / dwellers (general public) and urban designers, planners, architects, engineers (experts). For visions to be shared and planning processes to be inclusive the involvement of all (urban) actors is paramount. With the increasing urban complexity and the interrelation of phenomena there is also an increasing demand for updated, advanced and re-thought digital tools that could help in forming and enabling such common urban visions.
