The purpose of this study is to contribute knowledge of preschool teachers’ views on democracy and how the mission is expressed in preschool activities. The democracy commitment is seen as a difficult and complex assignment in relation to the work with children in preschool. Democracy is part of an everyday work in preschool activities and it is important that this is visible as it is what the preschool's policy instrument are based on. To study how the democracy commitment is expressed in preschool activities, the study's results are derived from semi-structured interviews.
