Discovering the surroundings while walking using a mobile device is now possible by coupling new technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and location-based services. Many mobile applications have been designed for that purpose recently. The surroundings of the user are presented on the screen of her mobile device using the location data and she can interact with her environment through a digital information layer superimposed on the captured scene.
