The research work falls within the framework of the transportation and handling safety of radioactive waste containment packages. The goal is to develop a numerical tool capable of simulating the overall behaviour of a fiber concrete structure subject to a dynamic loading. It also gives access to more local information such as cracking, both in terms of path and opening. To do this, a set of mechanical tests is carried out in order to better understand the mechanisms of damage and cracking of the material under quasi-static and dynamic loading.
