Fluorine-18 radiolabeling of biologics is a challenge in radiochemistry due to their increasing interest in molecular imaging. Biologics, and particularly peptides, offer molecular diversity and often higher specific and selective in vivo targeting compared to low molecular weight molecules. However, fluorine-18-radiolabeling standard conditions could not be used directly because biologics would suffer from these drastic conditions. Only a few direct radiolabeling methods are available and present some drawbacks (high temperature, low molar activity, lack of versatility…).
