Laparoskopik Roux-en-Y gastrik bypass (LRYGB) günümüzde sıkça kullanılan bariatrik bir prosedürdür ve laparoskopik sleeve gastrektomi(LSG) morbid obezite tedavisinde tek basamaklı bir prosedür olarak popülaritesi gittikçe artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada heriki yöntemin morbidite ve etkinliği açısından birbirine üstünlüğü olup olmadığını karşılaştırdık. Temmuz 2008 ile Mayıs 2010 arasında morbid obez tanısıyla operasyon önerilen 50 hastaya LRYGB (n:20) ve LSG (n:30) operasyonları hakkında bilgilendirilip karar verilen prosedür uygulandı.
