Can objects be separated from how they are shown, repaired, treated, classified, owned and valued? In its first iteration, Temple Talks invites artist and architect Céline Condorelli, whose practice is fueled by an ongoing research into the ways things are shown and mediated. The artist’s long-standing interest in modes of display and structures of support has taken many forms, from books and exhibitions to performative lectures and architectural interventions. With Support Structures (2009), for example, Condorelli dedicated a whole volume to the subject, exploring support as a structure in and of itself, as a thing and a relationship.
