We analyzed data from the 2014-2015 Pennsylvania Youth Tobacco Survey to determine prevalence of tobacco use among middle and high school students. For the first time, questions on current (past 30-day) use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) were included in the survey. For current use, e-cigarettes were the most commonly used tobacco product among middle school students (2.3%; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.4%-3.2%), and cigarettes were the most commonly used tobacco product among high school students (11.0%; 95% CI, 8.1%-13.8%).
