This dataset stems from the NWO project “Late medieval court culture in the northern Low Countries: Visualizing, interpreting, and contextualizing music fragments” which run from September 2013 to May 2018 at Utrecht University. Its deliverable is Eliane Fankhauser’s PhD dissertation titled “Recycling reversed: Studies in the History of Polyphony in the northern Low Countries.” The research project addressed fragments of polyphonic music kept in The Netherlands from around 1400 with a special consideration of a collection of fragments housed at Utrecht University (RISM sigla NL-Uu Hs. 6 E 37 (Cat. 1846), referred to as Uu 37 in the dissertation).
