En el presente estudio se reporta la obtención de recubrimientos de Ni puro y compuestos de Ni con partículas nanométricas de SiC. Los recubrimientos fueron depositados sobre sustratos de acero al carbono AISI-SAE 1016 mediante polarización lineal sobre un electrodo de disco rotatorio, variando la velocidad de rotación y el contenido de partículas de SiC en el baño. Los recubrimientos fueron obtenidos a partir de una solución tipo Watts clásica, en la cual se adicionaron nanopartículas de SiC. Las propiedades anticorrosivas de los recubrimientos se estudiaron mediante técnicas electroquímicas y ensayos de corrosión-erosión.
