El quitosano es el derivado parcialmente deacetilado de la quitina. El conocimiento del comportamiento del quitosano como polielectrolito en solución es muy importante, puesto que la mayoría de sus aplicaciones se basan en sus soluciones acuosas. En este trabajo se estudian parámetros hidrodinámicos para muestras de quitosano con diferente grado de acetilación (DA) y peso molecular que permiten entender el comportamiento de las soluciones a diferentes concentraciones y fuerzas iónicas (I). Con este fin un quitosano con peso molecular de 226 kD y 30% DA se depolimerizó y deacetiló para obtener diferentes DA y pesos moleculares.
