International audienceEcological continuity represents a specific priority for rivers management. In Brittany (France), dam removal is intended to restore free movement of migratory fish and to provide ecological continuity. This objective of ecological continuity is itself intended to recover a favorable ecological status, ensuring the quality of water required by the EU Water Framework Directive.
