Regular and intensive language training has been proven to be essential to improve language ability of people with chronic aphasia. The use of computer based programs can be an effective way to obtain this amount of training. The computer based programs mostly used by speech and language pathologists in Sweden are Lexia and the Mac programs. No previous study has evaluated the effectiveness of these programs in treatment of aphasia, something that the present study aimed to investigate. There were eight participants in this study with chronic aphasia who were randomised into two groups.
