Retinoic acid decreases ATF-2 phosphorylation and sensitizes melanoma cells to taxol-mediated growth inhibition-4

with either vehicle (DMSO) or 10 μM RA for 48 hours. After this preincubation period, the cells were refed with growth medium containing different concentrations of taxol and incubated for 16 hours. At the end of this second incubation, the cell number in each group was determined through the use of crystal violet assay, and corrected by the initial cell number seeded.
