After lysis of RBCs, BM-nucleated cells were stained with cell surface markers and analyzed by flow cytometry for HSCs and CPs. Progressive loss of HSCs and CPs in mouse BM is shown by lineage marker and Sca1 c-kit staining (B–D). Day 8 BM cells were used as a control (A).
