Representative histological appearance of transplanted prostate cancers in nude mice in the androgen-dependent group (, , ) and the androgen-independent group (, , )

SV40 large T antigen (SV40Tag) was stained to confirm origin from the TRAP rat prostate tumor (A, B). Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was performed to assess the degree of differentiation (C, D). Castration effects were confirmed by the localization of AR.
