The birefringent area of alignment was identified from image sets binarized based on the image at 2 revolutions. Needle rotation in crosslinked collagen gels generated less alignment than untreated collagen gels at each collagen concentration. The area of alignment increased with increasing collagen concentration for both untreated and crosslinked collagen.
Copyright information:

Taken from "An assay of collagen fiber alignment by acupuncture needle rotation"

http://www.biomedical-engineering-online.com/content/7/1/19

BioMedical Engineering OnLine 2008;7():19-19.

Published online 7 Jul 2008

PMCID:PMC2483714.

</p
