Phagocytosis of haemozoin (malarial pigment) enhances metalloproteinase-9 activity in human adherent monocytes: Role of IL-1beta and 15-HETE-4

Fter phagocytosis or addition of 15-HETE. mRNA expression was measured by real-time quantitative RT-PCR in cell lysates and expressed as -fold variation over untreated monocytes.
