Assay for inhibitory effects of various chemicals on vegetative growth.

<p>The inhibition extent (%) = ((the diameter of regular CM cultures-the diameter of cultures on CM with different chemical)/the diameter of regular CM cultures)×100; CFW, Calcofluor white; CR, Congo red; NZ, Nikkomycin Z. N/A, not assayed. Data from three replicates were analyzed with two sample t-test. The same greek letter indicated that there was no significant difference with the wild-type or single mutant.
