<p>This suggests that <i>miR-21</i> overexpression may be an early event in the formation of pancreatic BCT from normal pancreas. <i>MiR-21</i> was unable to differentiate PDAC from SMCA and therefore it may be questionable as a future biomarker of PDAC.
