<p><b>A</b>, Effect of TAK1 inhibition on wound closure. Left, MCs from a patient undergoing PD were allowed to reach 100% confluency in a 6 well plate. MCs were pre-treated with DMSO or NP-009245 (600 nM) for 24 h in culture medium supplemented with 10% FCS. A scratch wound was created on the cell surface using a micropipette tip. The wound area was photographed every 30 min for 24 h by bright field microscopy (4× magnification). The width of the wound was measured and the wound closure rate was calculated. 9 different points from 3 different scratches were analyzed per condition.
