<i>DUR31</i> deletion attenuated virulence in a mouse model of hematogenously disseminated candidiasis.

<p>(A) Female Balb/C mice (n = 10 mice per <i>C. albicans</i> strain) were challenged intravenously with either the wild type (Wt), the <i>dur31</i>Δ/Δ mutant or the <i>dur31</i>Δ/Δ::<i>DUR31</i> complemented strain via the lateral tail vein and survival followed for up to 21 days. *P<0.0001 compared with mice either infected with the wild type or <i>dur31</i>Δ/Δ::<i>DUR31</i> complemented strain.
