<p>For DMD 319 and DMD 673, a U residue immediately upstream from the stop codon (−1) was replaced by each of the other nucleotides, separately. For DMD 931, p53 146, beta 17 and CF 122, the original nucleotide in the −1 position was replaced by a U residue. Readthrough efficiencies were measured as described in <a href="http://www.plosgenetics.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pgen.1002608#pgen-1002608-g001" target="_blank">Figure 1</a>. Each value shown is the mean of at least five independent experiments. The original nucleotide is underlined on each graph.</p
