Temporal dynamics of neuromagnetic responses to monaural stimulation with reference to hearing status in unilateral ISSNHL patients.

<p>Patient 12 (female, left ISSNHL) was studied initially on the seventh day after onset. <i>(</i><b><i>A</i></b><i>) </i><b><i>PTA results of air conduction exam.</i></b> The patient demonstrated a sensorineural hearing loss pattern in initial exam (left column) and had a hearing gain of less than the cut-off value for hearing improvement (10 dB; see method for definition) 1 month later (right column). In 1-month MEG exam (right column), the pattern became relatively symmetrical. Dipole sources (red dots) are localized at the auditory cortices of bilateral temporal lobes in patients'MRI images. MRI views are displayed according to neurological convention, i.e., subject' right hemisphere is on the right side of the images.
