<p>Compared to control transfectants, a log<sub>2</sub> signal ratio ≥ 1 or ≤ 1 was considered to be a significant change in gene expression. (A) The expression level changes of 17 genes shown to be upregulated by microarray. (B) Downregulated expression levels of 15 genes, as determined by microarray analysis. Among the 17 upregulated genes detected by microarray analysis, real-time PCR confirmed 15 of these genes to have significant transcriptional expression changes, while 2 did not show any significant change. Among the 15 downregulated genes detected by microarray analysis, real-time PCR confirmed 12 of these genes to have significant transcriptional expression changes, while 3 did not show any significant changes.</p
