<p>NH<sub>4</sub><sup>+</sup> activates PKA through both RAS and TOR/Sch9p and leads to cell death increase with predominant necrotic features associated to ATP depletion. Sch9p is mediating survival in response to NH<sub>4</sub><sup>+</sup> possibly through activation of Hog1p.</p
