<p>mRNAs that changed in both strains during lung maturation were clustered into 6 temporally dependent expression patterns using STEM <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0037046#pone.0037046-Ernst1" target="_blank">[48]</a>. The x-axis represents the gestational ages and the y-axis represents relative mRNA using E15.5 as the baseline. Profiles are expressed as the means ± SEM of 3 animals per time point.
