Gene expression pattern of down-regulated genes.

<p>Probeset <i>CALM3-200622_x_at</i> specific for the gene CALML2, indicated a down-regulation of the target RNA. This probeset is representative of the pattern observed in the 1000 down and down-noP gene groups (see main text for details). Differences in gene expression observed between one year of age and adulthood in CA3, and between birth and six months of age in CA1 were statistically significant (ANOVA: interaction ages x regions, Benjamini-Hochberg correction p<0.05; unpaired t-test (ages within each region), CA3: newborn, 6-month, 1-year >6–12-year; CA1: newborn >6-month, 1-year, 6–12-year, all p<0.05). Each bar represents the mean (+/− SEM) of the gene expression of the four animals of the same age.
