Depletion of PI(4,5)P₂ from plasma membrane after rapamycin-induced membrane targeting of an inositol 5-phosphatase.

<p>BHK-21 cells were cotransfected with PM-FRB-CFP (blue), mRFP-FKBP-dom5ptase (red) and PH-PLC-eGFP (green) plasmids using Lipofectamine Plus. At 24 h post-transfection, cells were treated with 10 nM rapamycin (10 min) to induce the depletion of PI(4,5)P₂ from plasma membrane. Then cells were fixed and observed by confocal microscopy.
