<p>Full-thickness wounds (diameter = 0.5 cm) were generated on the backs of 8-week-old C3H mice. Wounded tissues were excised at 1, 4, 7, and 10 d post-wounding, and subjected to H&E staining, immunohistochemical analysis, and western blotting as described in the <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0048791#s2" target="_blank">Materials and Methods</a>.
