We extensively study the relationships between single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SMSERS) intensity, enhancement factor (EF) distribution over many particles, interparticle distance, particle size/shape/composition and excitation laser wavelength using the single-particle AFM-correlated Raman measurement method and theoretical calculations.
