Loss of <i>App</i> leads to increased insulin secretion from islets in older mice.

<p>Islets were collected from 10 week old (A) or 17 week old (B) male wild-type or whole-body <i>App^−/−</i> mice. Insulin secretion was stimulated by varying glucose concentrations, a depolarizing concentration of KCl, or 8-Br-cAMP, a membrane-permeant analogue of cAMP.
