<i>H. pylori</i> infection induced high expression of VCP in mouse gastric tissue.

A total number of 22 mouse gastric tissue, including uninfected (n = 8) and <i>H. pylori</i>-infected (n = 14) mouse gastric tissues, were analyzed for VCP expression. *VCP intensity by immunohistochemistry staining was scored as following: 1, weak staining; 2, mild staining and 3, dark staining. **Based on the score of VCP intensity, cases were classified into VCP low-expression (low) for those cases in which of VCP intensity scores were ≤1 and VCP high-expression (high) for those cases in which of VCP intensity scores were ≥2.
