Effect of beetle species and sex of beetles on leaf area consumption.

<p>In feeding trials with <i>Cerotoma ruficornis</i> and <i>Gynandrobrotica guerreroensis</i>, we measured consumed leaf area by the insects. <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0055602#s3" target="_blank">Results</a> were analyzed using a general linear model (GLM) for analysis of variance with leaf area consumption as variable. ‘Beetle species’ and ‘Sex of beetle’ were set as fixed factors.
