<p>Mice were injected on day 7 of gestation with LPS (1 µg/g) or LPS and progesterone (2 mg/mouse, 2 h before LPS injection). They were sacrificed 6 h after LPS treatment and uterine tissue was cultured for 24 h. Nitric oxide was measured as nitrate (NO<sub>3</sub><sup>−</sup>) plus nitrite (NO<sub>2</sub><sup>−</sup>) accumulation in culture supernatants by Griess technique. n = 5. Values are means ± SEM.
