Cytokine production in the plasma of CAR-primed endotoxin shock model mice at various doses of LPS.

<p>Various doses of LPS (0.5, 1, 5, 10, or 20 μg/mouse) were administered i.v. to CAR-primed or unprimed C57BL/6 mice. CAR (5 mg/mouse) was administered i.p. 24 h prior to LPS injection. Thereafter, plasma was collected at 0, 1, 3, and 6 h, and the IL-6 concentrations was determined using an ELISA system. The data obtained were representative of at least 3 independent experiments and are expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD) values for samples assayed in triplicate. Significant difference from 0.5 μg/mouse of LPS administrated mice: *p<0.05; **p<0.01.
